PG&E recommends rainstorm prep steps for SLO customers
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - With the next storm rolling in, PG&E staff wants to make sure their customers have updated their contact information.
There aren’t any flash flood warnings in effect at this time, but that could change because the rain is escalating from steady to heavy.

PG&E staff recommend checking your contact information on their website or by calling them so any alerts they send out will reach you in real time.
Company spokesperson Neil Hebert says developing your emergency safety plan ahead of time can help with being ready when conditions escalate.
PG&E also offers research and tips for developing your emergency safety plan at each stage including before, during, and after storms. you can access this information by dialing 211.
“If you moved in the last six months or year or if you updated your phone number recently, keeping your information up to date on PGE.COM is vital. The easier we can contact you during a potential outage or an emergency, the better. So head to PGE.COM, sign in update your address and your phone number so we can better contact you with updates and real time,” says Hebert.
The steps the company has taken over the last few days have proven effective, and when customers have made their own preparations ahead of time, assistance becomes more expedited and efficient.
Forecasts are tracking more rain for San Luis Obispo Friday, with no rain chances on Saturday.
