Bishop Diego wins the outright Tri-Valley League championship with an easy win over Foothill Tech

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The wait is over as Bishop Diego wins a rare league title in boys basketball.

Tyler Williams scored 20 points and Matthew Cunningham added 19 points in an easy 77-41 win over Foothill Tech of Ventura to give the Cardinals the outright Tri-Valley League championship for the first time since 2011.

Bishop Diego raced out to a 25-3 lead and never looked back as they head into the CIF-SS playoffs with a 6-2 overall record.

The playoff pairings are announced on Sunday morning.
