CIF State volleyball brackets unveiled

After winning its first CIF title since 2008, the Santa Barbara High girls volleyball team will compete in the State Tournament this week.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Saturday night was a special night, as three girls volleyball teams from Santa Barbara County won CIF championships.

Now comes a true test with the CIF State Tournament bracket unveiled.

In Division 3, Santa Barbara (20-4) will travel to Chino Hills for a first-round matchup on Tuesday.

In Division 4, St. Joseph of Santa Maria earned a No. 1 seed and a first-round bye. The Knights will play at home in the second round on Thursday. 

Bishop Diego (30-7) is also playing in Division 4. The Cardinals will host Hillcrest of Riverside on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
