UCSB soccer’s unbeaten streak is snapped at 11 as Irvine wins in overtime

Oscar Cervantes scored five minutes into overtime to lift UC Irvine to a 2-1 win at UCSB.

The Anteaters leap over the Gauchos into first place in the Big West as they improve to 3-0-1 in league while UCSB falls to 3-1.

The Gauchos erased a 1-0 halftime deficit as Thibault Candia converted a penalty kick in the 68th mintue.

UCSB’s unbeaten streak ends at 11 games as they suffer their first loss since September 7.

The Gauchos are 10-3-2 for the season.
