| Why are you running for office? | To address the challenges, and do it as a respectful, productive and responsive public servant that people deserve. |
| What makes you qualified for the job? | I have a wide portfolio of expertise, experiences and education to bring the role of County Supervisor: I have years of Land Use, Energy, Project Management from a decade of developing, building and operations of utility scale solar, and other energy systems, significant economic development with small business experience specifically related to interfacing with multiple government regulatory agencies, nonprofit experience and I have a formal education in public policy. My best skill is bringing people to the table to work together to get things done. |
| What are your two main priorities if you win? | As the Supervisor right now, I am focused on stabilizing the region’s workforce, especially for our central coast families and businesses. Water/housing/homelessness have impacts that are require enormous collaboration and political will and must happen if we are going to sustain a middle class here; I am optimistic as I find an enormous willingness among leaders and our residents to put everything on the table for addressing these challenges. |
| How will you collaborate with other governments? | The issues I mention above benefit when one uses a regional, collaborative and balanced approach. I commend the outstanding leadership demonstrated by the cities in District 3. This is a "we" job, not an "I" job to achieve real success that will make a difference to county residents. |
| What are the next two issues that are most important to you? | There are so many! But I will go with 1) Public safety - includes fire hazards, crime prevention and disaster preparedness and 2) Mental Health services, support and address the larger issue of managing this national crisis on a local level as it impacts all types of individuals, all ages, all ethnicities, all  socio-economic brackets and can not be swept under the rug any longer. |
