Jordan Corrales sentenced for multiple charges including vehicle theft, high-speed pursuit, and domestic violence all while wearing ankle monitor

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Jordan Corrales was sentenced to seven years and four months in in state prison after he was convicted in two separate cases involving charges of vehicle theft, domestic violence, and evasion.

On Feb. 26 of this year, Corrales was convicted of vehicle theft-related charges after a woman reported her 2018 Mercedes Benz had been stolen from her Oxnard home on Oct. 23, 2024, shared the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

Surveillance footage showed two people, one of which appeared to be wearing a GPS-enabled ankle monitor, entering the vehicle noted the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

The Mercedes was found abandoned the next day with significant collision-related damage stated the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

Investigators later discovered that Corrales was on parole and required to wear a GPS monitor at the time of the theft and his ankle monitor placed at the scene of the crime at the time of the theft detailed the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

The Mercedes was recovered around 200 yards from Corrales' residence added the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

"We are pleased that the jury reached a swift and decisive verdict," shared Deputy District Attorney Stephanie Horlick, who prosecuted this case. "It reflects the strength of the evidence and the seriousness of the offense. The sentence imposed sends a clear message that these crimes will not be treated lightly. In this case, upper term was appropriate given the facts and the defendant’s criminal history, to ensure accountability and protect the community."

In a separate case involving Corrales, he was convicted on Dec. 16, 2025, of felony evading an officer with willful disregard as well as misdemeanor counts of vandalism, battery, and resisting an officer for an incident one year prior explained the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

In the early morning hours of Dec. 16, 2024, Corrales broke down the door of his former girlfriend's Oxnard home and confronted her and her blind aunt shared the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

When the aunt tried to protect her niece, Corrales shoved her before fleeing the scene after hearing approaching sirens detailed the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

Later the same morning, Corrales was spotted by parole agents and deputies before leading them on a 15-mile, high-speed pursuit noted the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.

According to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office, Corrales was observed driving at speeds over 100 miles per hour, swerving around other vehicles and into oncoming traffic, and running multiple red lights and stop signs.

Eventually, he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot before he was located hiding between a shed and a brick wall in a backyard shared the local prosecutor's office.

At the time of both incidents for which he was charged in separate cases, Corrales was on parole and wearing an ankle monitor which was used to confirm his location explained the Ventura County District Attorney's Office.
