Schneider and Spade preparing for “Comedy in your Car” live show Friday in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - Two old friends will be back on stage telling jokes Friday night at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

Rob Schneider and David Spade have been making people laugh for decades. Blasting-off to stardom on Saturday Night Live then on the big screen in movies like Tommy Boy, The Waterboy and most recently together in The Wrong Missy on Netflix.

When it comes to comedy these two have done just about everything. But Friday night will be something new, telling jokes to people sitting socially distant in a massive parking lot.

"We'll talk about all the crazy crap happening and then tell some jokes," Schneider said. "It will be a fun night just to get out of the house and see some comedy and some old friends that hopefully made you laugh in the past."

This will be the first drive-in comedy show at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, which has been transformed into a Concerts in your Car venue since the pandemic shutdown many normal entertainment options. But Friday night will be Comedy in your Car, with two guys that have made a career out of getting laughs.

"Come on out! You can stay in your car, sit on our car, listen to it there. We'll have big screens and I promise you, you'll have a good time," Schneider said.

Tickets start at $99 per vehicle and can be purchased at Concertsinyourcar.com.
