Oxnard police arrest man accused of sexually assaulting three children in his care

OXNARD, Calif. -- Oxnard Police arrest one man accused of sexually assaulting three children in his care on Friday.

Police arrested Nick Langkilde, 41, from Oxnard on three counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. 

On Wednesday, Oxnard police responded to reports of alleged sexual abuse to three children on the 400 block of West Yucca Street in Oxnard.

The Oxnard Police Department's Family Protection Unit was notified and took over the investigation.

Investigators interviewed the children who reported that they were molested by their stepfather, Langkilde, between 2015 to May 2020.

On Friday afternoon at around 12:45 p.m., the unit arrested Langkilde at a McDonald's location at 4860 Santa Rosa Road in Camarillo.

Police took Langkilde into custody without incident.

Langkilde was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.

His bail amount was set at $5 million.
