Ventura County firefighters knock down flames at Camarillo fish restaurant
CAMARILLO, Calif. - Ventura County firefighters responded to a fire at Spencer Mackenzie's Fish Company on Carmen Drive in Camarillo Saturday afternoon.
The call came in around 12:50 p.m. Firefighters responded multiple engines to the structure fire which they reported remained on the exterior of the building.
The primary search and knock down of the fire was completed by 1:05 p.m.
Ventura County Fire said on Twitter that it does not appear the fire spread to the interior of the restaurant.
Firefighters remained on scene to extinguish any potential hotspots and help clean up.
The fire department reported that the fire was fully extinguished around 1:35 p.m. Firefighters are working to remove the smoke from the building and are continuing to search for hotspots.
