Police arrest man after pursuit through Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura Police arrested a man who led them on a pursuit Tuesday night.

An officer saw a vehicle driving near San Nicholas Street and Coronado Steet that matched the description of a suspect who committed a vehicle burglary, according to Ventura Police.

The driver refused to pull over. Officers pursued the car through Ventura until the driver crashed into a planter in the area of Ash Street and Front Street.

Officers arrested the driver Stevent Cossel, 37, near the pier.

Cossel was arrested for possession of stolen property, failing to yield to officers, hit and run and possession of drugs.
