Man with knife arrested after dispute outside Ventura motorhome
VENTURA, Calif - A man was arrested Friday night after getting into an argument with his girlfriend.
Ventura Police officers were patrolling the area near the 100 block of North Olive St. around 10:30 p.m. when they heard a woman calling for help.
Officers said a woman told them her boyfriend was armed with a knife.
Investigating officers said they found out the woman and her boyfriend 56-year-old James Willet got into an argument in a motorhome. The woman left and asked a man nearby for help.
The woman's boyfriend got a knife from inside the motorhome and began swinging the knife at the other man, investigators said. That's when the female began yelling and got the attention of nearby officers.
Willet was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Nobody was injured during the incident, according to Ventura Police.
