VENTURA, Calif. -- Ventura Police Department officers arrest one man involved in a vehicle violation and hit and run in Ventura on Tuesday morning.

Police arrested Brandon Bartek, 35, Ventura for misdemeanor hit and run and misdemeanor failure to yield to officers.

On Tuesday morning around 7:31 a.m., a Ventura Police Patrol Officer saw the suspect commit a traffic violation in the area of Montgomery and Newtown.

The suspect then fled on foot into the neighborhood.
