Police respond to shooting victim in Oxnard

OXNARD, Calif. -- The Oxnard Police Department and Oxnard City Fire Department responded to a shooting victim on Monday afternoon.

According to Oxnard Police, the incident took place around 1:15 p.m. at the 100 block of North Roosevelt Avenue.

Upon arrival, police located a 29-year-old male Oxnard resident suffering from a single gunshot wound. Police said the wound was in the lower extremities, but no exact area was released.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

It is still unclear how the stabbing occurred and how many suspects were involved. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
