CAMARILLO, Calif. - The Ventura County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a structure fire in Camarillo Friday evening.

Firefighters said the fire was in the attic of a home on the 100 block of Alviso Drive.

It took fire crews 40 minutes to extinguish the blaze. No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire.

A total of six residents are now displaced, but the Red Cross of Central California is working to help them.

Ventura County Fire said they will remain on the scene for a couple more hours as they finish putting out the hot spots and clearing their equipment.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
