Ventura County Sheriff’s Office dedicates highway sign in honor of Sgt. Ron Helus

VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - Ventura County Sheriff's Office hosts a dedication highway sign on Highway 101 in honor of Sergeant Ron Helus.

The event took place in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday morning.

The highway sign will be on a 3.4 mile stretch on Highway 101 in Ventura County.

Sergeant Ron Helus lost his life during the Borderline Shooting in Thousand Oaks on November 7, 2018.

Helus and 11 other people were killed by an active shooter at the Borderline Bar and Grill.
