OXNARD, Calif. - An elderly man who was injured when he was hit by a pickup truck in Oxnard last week has died from his injuries.

On Friday, October 25, the 75-year-old man was riding his bike on C Street at the alley of Roderick Avenue when he was â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹hit by a 2000 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 57-year-old woman.

The man was hit by the truck while attempting to turn left into the alley from C Street.

The man was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be moderate injuries. But on Friday, the Oxnard Police Department was informed that he had died from his injuries.

The woman was uninjured and has been cooperating with the investigation.

Oxnard police traffic investigators are continuing to investigate the incident. It's unclear at this time if speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The identity of the 75-year-old man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
