Updates on highway and major road closures in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties
CENTRAL COAST, Calif. – Amidst the waves of winter storms hitting the central coast, Caltrans and California Highway Patrol provided the following status of highway and major road closures in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Santa Barbara County (south to north)
- Santa Barbara-Ventura County Line: west and eastbound State Route 150 is closed between Highway 101 in Carpinteria to State Route 33 in Ojai
- Highway 154 is closed from State Route 192 to 246
- One-way traffic control on Primavera Rd and La Colina Rd on 154 for bridge work
- Goleta: northbound Highway 101 lane closure from Gaviota Tunnel to about 0.5 miles north
- There is also an east and westbound 246 lane closure from V St to H St
- Santa Maria: southbound 135 lane closure from Stowell Rd to Enos Dr
- There is also a north and southbound 135 lane closure from Main St to Stowell Rd
- Route 166 has one-way traffic control from about 1.2 miles east of Twitchell Dam Rd (15.5) to about 2.4 mi West of Chimney Canyon Rd (21.6)
San Luis Obispo County (south to north)
- Morro Bay: Highway 41 one-way traffic control on both north and southbound sides for a smaller, western section of the highway for construction
- Cayucos: north and southbound Highway 1 lane closure at Toro Creek Rd, as well as from Old Creek Rd to 13th St also for construction
- Creston: north and southbound Highway 229 full closure- Dapple Gray Ln to Rocky Canyon Rd
- San Simeon to Big Sur: full north and southbound closure on Highway 1 from Lime Creek to the Elephant Seal Vista, south of Ragged Point
