MGN

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – California Highway Patrol responded to a rollover crash that blocked a northbound Highway 101 lane and caused traffic back-up just south of the Gaviota Tunnel according to the CHP incident report page.

CHP said it was a no-injury crash, and that five to six other vehicles pulled over on the scene.

All lanes were open as of 11:00 a.m. according to CHP.

Caltrans District 5 said in a Tweet at 10:13 a.m. that traffic was slow in the area following the rollover, which closed the number two lane.

CHP said around 9:50 a.m. that there was a request for a lane closure to call in a sweeper and assistance for the rolled over vehicle which was still on its roof at the time.

As of 10:36, CHP said it was still holding the lane closure while waiting for the sweeper.
