Truck carrying tiles overturns near Carpinteria
CARPINTERIA, Calif. – A truck carrying tiles overturned on Highway 101 south of Carpinteria Friday morning.
It happened around 11:15 a.m. near Rincon Point.
The truck overturned spilling tiles into the roadway, prompting multiple lane closures on southbound Highway 101.
Two of three lanes were closed as of 12:30 p.m. and traffic was heavily affected.
Caltrans did not give an immediate estimate for when the lanes would reopen.
