Semi-truck crash backs up traffic on HWY 101 in Montecito
MONTECITO, Calif. - A semi-truck caused a backup in multiple lanes of Highway 101 after jackknifing in Montecito Saturday evening.
It happened around 5 p.m. on the southbound lanes near San Ysidro Road.

California Highway Patrol said the semi appeared to have crashed into a tree. Two lanes were closed on the southbound Hwy 101. It is unclear when the lanes will reopen.
The driver reportedly sustained minor injuries.
Montecito Fire said 65 gallons of fuel also leaked into the roadway. Caltrans is handling the cleanup.
Officers said there should be no impact on the waterway.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
