Five people injured in multi-vehicle crash near Los Alamos
LOS ALAMOS, Calif. - Multiple injuries were reported and traffic was slowed after two vehicles collided on Highway 101 near Los Alamos.
It happened at the Highway 101 intersection with Cat Canyon Road just after noon Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol online incident log, a vehicle traveling southbound crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another car.
Ambulances were requested as multiple injuries were reported. A Cal Star emergency helicopter was also called to respond to transport at least one patient to the hospital.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, five people were injured, one of whom suffered critical injuries.

Traffic was slowed in the area as patients were treated and debris was cleared from the roadway.
