Cookie chain opens new store on State Street

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — State Street’s newest addition is set to fulfill people’s late-night dessert cravings with freshly baked cookies and delivery services.

Insomnia Cookies opened its new storefront location at 430 State Street on Friday.

The rapidly expanding late-night bakery offers a wide array of treats that satisfy any sweet tooth.

“We are thrilled to start serving Santa Barbara with this first location right in the heart of downtown,” Insomnia Cookies’ chief marketing officer, Tom Carusona said. “State Street is the perfect spot to satisfy any daytime or late-night cookie craving.”

This is the ninth Insomnia Cookies location in California and the 178th location in the country. 

The Santa Barbara storefront will remain open till midnight Sunday through Wednesday and 1 a.m. on Thursday and Saturday for curbside pick-up and delivery.

“Our cookies are fantastic, they’re served warm and delicious,” Insomnia Cookies new store operations manager Michael Johnson said. “Whether you want a midday or late night snack, we have nontraditional cookies, six deluxe cookies along with ice cream and milk.”

In celebration of its opening, Insomnia Cookies is giving away a free cookie to any customer through August 27th. 

It’s also offering a special Sugar Rush deal, where customers can buy 12 cookies for $12.
