Central Coast CHP celebrates officer retiring after 33 years of service to the community

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol department in Santa Maria is celebrating one of their own today as he retires after 33 years.

Daniel Mota has served the Santa Maria Valley for three decades.

On Monday, he and his family will be celebrating his retirement along side his colleagues and department at the Santa Maria CHP office.

Mota will be receiving awards at his honorary luncheon.
