PCPA presents American Mariachi kicking off in Santa Maria this Saturday

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – PCPA presents American Mariachi by Jose Cruz Gonzalez beginning this Saturday at Marian Theater in Santa Maria.

The live play can be a considered a bilingual musical with a live mariachi performance.

Play writer Cruz Gonzalez said American Mariachi is an uplifting comedy about family, the freedom to go after your dreams, and the music that unites the community.

Musical director Cynthia Reifler Flores said this story may be relatable for many people as they handle an aging parent.

The show will run in Santa Maria at the Marian Theater from July 13-29 and will continue at the Solvang Festival Theater from Aug. 4 -27.
