Fire causes major damage to home, minor damage to neighboring houses in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire that left multiple houses damaged on the 1100 block of Kingston Drive Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters from Santa Maria, Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County all responded to the blaze.

Santa Maria fire sent a large response with Battalion 5, Engines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Truck 1 and Breathing Support 1 along with two engines from SB County Fire. One Engine from SLO County Fire helped by covering the city's other emergency calls during the fire.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire. However, the main house sustained major damage from the burn which also spread to neighboring homes, minorly damaging them.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
