Police searching for armed robber in Pismo Beach

PISMO BEACH, Calif. - Pismo Beach police are looking for an armed man who robbed a store on Thursday in Pismo Beach.

At around 1:22 p.m., Pismo Beach police responded to a report of an armed robbery.

Police say a man entered a Vitamin World Outlet store at the premium outlets in Pismo Beach armed with a handgun and demanded cash from the store.

He was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.

By the time police arrived, the suspect had already left the area. Police conducted a search of the area but were unable to find him.

Police say the suspect was a Hispanic male adult, mid-20s to mid-30s, 5-foot-9 with an athletic build.

Police say he was wearing a black beanie, a black long sleeve, tan-colored pants and had on gray shoes.

No injuries were reported.

This is an active investigation.
