Nonprofit kicks off fundraiser to support First Responders in Santa Barbara County

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Local non-profit One805 is gearing up for its Fall fundraiser to support First Responders.

Headlined this year by Maroon 5, the event raises funds for equipment and mental wellness counseling.

Directors of One805 said First Responders regularly put themselves in harms way on our behalf, and as a result experience highly traumatic events on daily basis.

A year ago the funds for essential counseling dried up, and One805 immediately stepped in to provide counseling services for all 750 County Firefighters.

Part of the fundraiser features an exciting online auction, with rare rock and roll memorabilia, including guitars signed by Kevin Costner, Maroon 5, Robbie Krieger and Elliot Easton.

As extreme weather-related events become more common, the One805 team believes the community needs First Responders to be as well equipped and well prepared as possible.

They are focused on the importance of looking after those who look after us, which they said cannot be underestimated.

One805 hopes with donations and support, the work First Responders do will remind us to remember the past, and prepare for the future.

If you would like to support First Responders you can visit One805.org, where you will find links to buy tickets to the event, bid on auction items, or make a donation.
