“Barbie” boosts businesses in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Recently released "Barbie" has surpassed $200 million dollars at the U.S. Box Office and is on the path to make $500 million globally.

This movie has become a cultural phenomenon that hasn’t just helped local theaters, but also a wide array of local businesses.

From nail salons to fashion boutiques, men and women alike are adorning themselves in all pink galore.

We will be speaking to a variety of businesses about what trends they’ve been noticing and how business is booming along the Central Coast.
