Solid waste collection rates in Goleta set to increase on July 1

GOLETA, Calif. – The Solid Waste Collection Rate charged to residents of the City of Goleta will go up 5.95% starting on Saturday, Jul. 1.

The City of Goleta approved the rate increase at its meeting on Jun. 6 of this year.

Rate increases due to changes in the Consumer Price Index and tipping fees at the Tajiguas landfill are part of the City of Goleta's waste removal contract with MarBorg Industries.
