Weekend storm poses complications for Santa Barbara Harbor

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The weekend’s storm posed some complications for the Santa Barbara Harbor.

The area that protects this harbor has taken some hits and sand berms were destroyed. The waves have brought in sand that has made the channel very shallow for boats to get in and out.

Locals are worried that eventually boats will not be able to get in and out of the harbor.

If it gets to this point, they will have to do some dredging to dig out a channel for the boats.
