World Dance for Humanity and Ukrainian Women of Santa Barbara donate to nation in need

World Dance for Humanity

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – World Dance for Humanity and the Ukrainian Women of Santa Barbara are sending donations to women helping people displaced by the invasion of their home country.

One of these recipients is Laura, a Ukrainian who was living in Italy, but returned to her home county to help at a refugee center near the nation's capital of Kyiv that shelters 450 families.

Victoria, another recipient, is a children's trauma therapist living in Mykolaiv, working with orphans and children who no longer have homes.

Tanya with Ukrainian Women of Santa Barbara said how the weekly donations are used, "Their priorities now are items that help groups of people - propane stoves, thermoses, candles, and power banks. They can cook for 10-15 people at the same time using our small stoves. The thermoses can keep water and food warm for up to 12 hours."
