Unity Shoppe delivers surprise gifts to children in need at Franklin Community Center in Santa Barbara

UNITY SHOPPE

SANTA BARBARA, Calif, - Unity Shoppe is offering a surprise for kids in need at the Franklin Community Center in Santa Barbara on Thursday, Dec. 15.

The organization donated 155 toys for children ages 9 months to 8 years of age.

The Santa Barbara Youth Council used part of their budget to purchase wrapping materials and held two youth-led Santa's Workshops.

All members of the Council attended, and say they were "happy to give back to the community."

Some members had little to no wrapping experience, but quickly worked with and learned from their peers.

These wrapped gifts will be distributed at the Franklin Center at 1:00 p.m.

Foodbank participants with children who meet the age criteria will receive wrapped gifts just in time for the holidays.
