Santa Barbara Festival Ballet to put on 49th production of The Nutcracker
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Festival Ballet's annual performance of The Nutcracker returns to the stage this December.
The SBFB will have three performances of The Nutcracker at the Arlington Theater Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11.
Four professional guest artists from the San Francisco Ballet and Dance Theater of Harlem join a cast of 56 dancers and 36 musicians from the UCSB Department of Theater and Dance, Santa Barbara City College, and Santa Barbara Festival Ballet.
Low-income students and their families are able to receive complimentary tickets and an educational program covering the history and music featured in the ballet, thanks to the community outreach program Friends of Clara.
Community members can sponsor tickets or make a donation to the Friends of Clara organization should contact the Santa Barbara Festival Ballet at 805-899-2901.
The Nutcracker is set to take the stage with two performances on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and a final performance on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
