Fiesta opening ceremony ready to welcome community at Old Mission Wednesday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The 2022 version of Old Spanish Days Fiesta now just one day away. Mercados will open at noon on Wednesday with the official opening ceremony at 8 p.m. on the steps of Old Mission Santa Barbara. La Fiesta Pequeña, the beautiful show filled with dancing, music and tradition, helps to kick off the five day festival that is uniquely Santa Barbara.

Fiesta Pequeña chair, Judith Macaffrey, joined News Channel to preview the big event. Detailing who will be performing and when the public is invited to claim their spots on the Mission lawn.

You can watch Pequeña and the Historical Parade on Friday, live on News Channel 11 and streaming on KEYT.com and in the NewsChannel Mobile App.

Each day this week a different Old Spanish Day's guest will join News Channel 11 at 7:30 a.m. to preview all the events set for Fiesta.
