Prescribed burn at Figueroa Mountain planned for Feb. 24-25

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. -- Los Padres National Forest Fire crews will be on Figueroa Mountain on Thursday and Friday to execute prescribed burns.

Crews will be burning piles of dead and decadent materials starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, according to Los Padres National Forest officials.

Prescribed burn fire operations were halted because of gusty winds and unsafe conditions.
