Han murders: expert testimony heard in trial of Pierre Haobsh
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – A sheriff's detective and a ballistic witness highlighted testimony Friday in the high-profile murder trial of Pierre Haobsh.
Haobsh is charged with the 2016 murders of Dr. Henry Han, his wife, Jennie; and their 5-year-old daughter, Emily; in their Goleta valley home. Police found the family dead inside their garage.
Friday's expert testimony included details about evidence found Including shell casings in the defendant's car, a suppressor, silencer and plastic wrap found around Han's wife, Jennie.
Also, testimony from a digital data expert investigator was heard.
Haobsh has pleaded not guilty to the triple-murder charges. Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley previously said she will seek the death penalty against Haobsh.
The DA in charge of the trial said Haobsh was mostly evasive, but then spoke in hypotheticals during Friday's session.
The trial is expected to go until at least Thanksgiving, the DA's office said.
