Santa Barbara Zoo hosts alternative Halloween event, Spooky Zoo
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Santa Barbara Zoo will be hosting an alternative event due to the cancellation of Boo at the Zoo.
Due to Boo at the Zoo being canceled because of COVID-19, the Zoo made an alternative event to help keep the Halloween spirit alive for guests.
The new event is called Spooky Zoo. The Halloween event will be from October 16 to 31.
Spooky Zoo will be free with a Zoo admission or Zoo Membership, online reservations will be required.
The Zoo encourages guests to wear their costumes.
The Zoo will be decorated with Halloween decor and there will be themed photo opps while visiting animals throughout the zoo.
There will also be tasty treats and "boo-zy" adult beverages that will be available for purchase.
Guests are required to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth.
Costumes should be child-friendly, no gore or realistic weapons.
