Man live-streams arrest in Santa Barbara Library

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara Police Department received a call from Santa Barbara Central Library staff requesting assistance with a man who was reportedly violating the Library's rules of conduct around 2:15 p.m. on Monday.

Two police officers responded to the library around 2:55 p.m. and contacted the man.

Police said the man videoed parts of his interaction with the officers and live-streamed the videos to social media.

As a result, the man received a lot of attention from social media followers.

Officers arrested the man for trespassing and resisting or delaying an officer, both misdemeanors.

After being medically cleared, the man was transported to the Santa Barbara County Jail.
