It didn't take long for a Christmas day flood advisory to turn into a flood warning,

The Office of Emergency Management staff is concerned about the last month's Cave fire burn area.

The area is likely to get snow at higher elevations.

Low lying areas and streets prone to flooding did just that.

Most of the people out in the downpour said they had good excuses.

One pizza delivery driver was busy getting gas.

A father was getting milk for a child, and a daughter was on her way to visit her mother for Christmas dinner.

Stephanie Valenzuela said, I'm going to my mother's to spend a little time with her, she is really my only family , so, actually I was kind of complaining, and now I'm like no it is really a blessing to be alive."

Wind and rain toppled snowmen not made of snow, but it didn't stop the Christmas lights from twinkling.

Some drivers drove cars full of family and friends around the see the lights despite the downpour.
