Trombone Society to play with Christmas Revels at the Lobero this weekend

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.

Members of the Santa Barbara Trombone society have been playing around town, and this weekend they will be joining the Christmas Revels at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara.

The show is called a Venetian celebration of the Winter Solstice.

Eric Heidner of Trombone Society said, "This weekend we have the Santa Barbara Revels and this is the first time we have been part of this, we are going to be doing a special renaissance performance a Venetian renaissance as we are actually bringing out replica renaissance trombones called sackbuts, four of us playing along, doing some really neat stuff over at the Lobero Friday , Saturday and Sunday matinee.
