No injuries reported in Santa Ynez home fire

A fire in a home in Santa Ynez was contained to a single room.

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. - A fire in a home was contained to a single room Wednesday.

The fire broke out on the 1200 block of Highland Avenue in Santa Ynez just after 4 p.m.

Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the home with a full structure response and found an office in the single family home filled with smoke. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the room and save the rest of the home.

The room and contents were damaged by smoke and fire. The total estimate of damages is unknown at this time.

Santa Barbara County Fire Captain Daniel Bertucelli said there were no injuries and the fire was under investigation.
