UPDATE: Cave Fire now 90% contained, 154 reopening Sunday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara County Fire Department Public Information Officers Mike Eliason and Daniel Bertucelli announced that the Cave Fire is 90% contained as of Sunday morning.

The officers said the fire is still 3,126 acres.

54 personnel are on scene fighting against the fire.

Caltrans Public Information Officer Jim Shivers gave an update that Highway 154 will reopen Sunday evening by 6 p.m.

Shivers said the necessary guardrail repairs have been completed.

Traffic control will take place on Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. due to roadwork by Caltrans so expect to reduce your speed from Painted Cave to San Antonio Creek Roads.
