Arroyo Grande’s South County Regional Center open tonight, Jan. 29, as a warming center
ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. – The South County Regional Center at 800 West Branch St. in Arroyo Grande will be open Jan. 29 as a warming center for the evening.
Anyone interested in staying the night is asked to not arrive before 5:30 p.m. and no later than 8 p.m. The center will close the following morning at 7 a.m.
There will be no transportation provided to or from the warming center.
All overnight guests will receive a hot meal and a dry place to sleep, but cots and bedding are only provided as available.
Sobriety is not required to stay the night, but no drugs or alcohol are allowed on site. The facility does not allow pets.

The following items are requested by the warming center for those interested in donating:
- URGENT NEED:Â NEWÂ sweatshirts, sweatpants
- Large trash bags
- Coffee, tea, hot chocolate creamer, sugar
- SOFTÂ breakfast bars, cereal
- individually packed juice, crackers, cookies, chips
- Instant Noodle/Cup of Noodles (camping meals as well)
- NEW socks, and underwear
- Rain gear/ponchos/warm gloves/
- Large backpacks
- Cards (for gas, clothing, and food)
