Cal Fire SLO rescues Los Osos cat from chimney

LOS OSOS, Calif. – Cal Fire San Luis Obispo County's Animal Rescue responded to a cat trapped in a chimney at 11:11 a.m. in Los Osos. The local cat, Zippy, was successfully rescued and returned to his owner.

Firefighters had to remove a screen within the chimney and relied on a donated can of tuna from High Street Deli to entice the cat.

Zippy had no reported injuries and was allowed to eat the donated tuna.
