Pop-up clinics offer free flu shots to all at Atascadero and Arroyo Grande locations

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.– Atascadero and Arroyo Grande hosts free flu shot pop-up clinics for everyone eligible for the vaccine at two locations from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The clinics provided by the Public Health Department in Atascadero and Arroyo Grande will be located at Five Cities Fire Authority Station 1, 140 Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande and Colony Park Community Center, 5599 Traffic Way in Atascadero.

Everyone is welcome regardless of insurance, residency, immigration status, or income class.

Those that wish to participate must complete a screening form ahead of time that can be found here or completed on-site.

County Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein encourages participation in the one-day event as now is the perfect time to protect oneself and the community from illness.

“Now is a great time to get your flu vaccine so you’re fully protected before flu season really gets
underway this fall,” said Borenstein, "We’re making it easy to protect yourself and your family with these free, convenient walk-in clinics.”
