Teen killed, two people injured in Nipomo house fire

NIPOMO, Calif. - A fire at a home in Nipomo left a teen dead and injured two others. The fire was reported at a residential structure on the 1400-block of W Tefft Street Tuesday morning.

CAL FIRE reported a two-story home was well involved on both floors when they arrived at the scene. Two people were taken to a local hospital. A third did not survive, according to the fire department.

Authorities confirmed that the person who died was a 17-year-old girl. Her name has not yet been released.

Fire crews were able to put out the fire after arriving on scene. The condition of the home is unclear at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
