Atascadero police searching for two men involved in robbery

ATASCADERO, Calif. -- Atascadero police is searching for two men involved in a robbery on Monday.

On Sunday at around 7:11 p.m., Atascadero police responded to reports of a robbery on the 8400 block of El Camino Real.

Police arrived to find that the incident happened at Discount Cigarette.

In their investigation, they found that two Hispanic men had entered a business, approached the check-out area and demanded cash.

One man was described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt, blue jean pants and had a face covering on. The second man was described to wear a hooded sweatshirt with a face covering.

The two suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

There were no reported weapons used during the incident but police say the threat of assault was made to the clerk if he did not cooperate.

The investigation is ongoing.
