San Luis Obispo County names new Airports Director
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif - San Luis Obispo County has named a new Airports Director.
Courtney Johnson will serve as the interim director starting October 10. Her appointment follows the departure of current Airports Director Kevin Bumen.
Johnson has served as the County’s Airports Deputy Director since January 2019.
In her new roll, will oversee and direct activities at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport and Oceano Airport, including commercial and general aviation operations.
She will also manage of $9.1 million-dollar budget and a team of 20 full-time employees.
“I’m honored to have this extraordinary opportunity,” Johnson said. “Kevin is a visionary leader, who has built a strong reputation for contributing to the local economy and community. Succeeding him allows me to build on a very solid foundation.”
The County Board of Supervisors will consider Johnson’s permanent appointment at its October 20 meeting.
