San Luis Obispo man arrested for hit and run, driving under the influence

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — A San Luis Obispo man has been arrested for a hit and run and for driving while under the influence of drugs.
The incident happened this morning around 11 a.m.
The driver was heading east on Los Osos Road. He then veered into the bike lane and sideswiped a bike rider before driving away.
The driver was apprehended at the scene of another traffic collision, in the area of Santa Rosa Street and Highland Drive.
The driver was taken into custody for the hit and run and for driving under the influence of drugs.
The biker has a severe left leg fracture and is being treated at the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.Â
