SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - A man was injured after falling about 30 feet from Bishop Peak in San Luis Obispo.

City firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene Tuesday morning, with plans to conduct and open space rescue.

Paramedics assessed the patient, identified as a man in his 50s, and prepped him for safe removal from the mountain.

Crews planned to bring the man down the mountain using an off-road vehicle but he refused transport, fire officials said.
